					<description>That was a thoughtful and valuable post, and will keep me coming back to this blog.  I really hope 'The Number' becomes a success, because the message is quite important.  In a society that values celebrity and instant gratification, a goal that takes 30, 40, 50 years to achieve can get lost in the noise.

This week I had a conversation with a co-worker planning to retire this year, who 'thought' he had participated in the company retirement plan, but it turns out he was mistaken.  How does THAT happen?!?!!  It is almost impossible not to retire a millionaire if one saves 10% of their salary from the start of their working days.
